This album was recorded in various places in and around Baltimore, Maryland from 2011 to 2013 with one song dating back to 2009. Ultimately I played all the instruments and sang all the vocals and programmed all the drums, but I had plethora of wonderful people who jammed with me and bounced ideas around over the years.

In my younger years I had begun to get into outsider art. I decided I would prefer to be an outsider than try for "mainstream success." At this time I developed, or realized I had, a mental illness, sealing the image for myself as a troubled artist. In truth, it was a great tragedy in my life, to think that I could never have a real career doing anything but low wage work that would only hurt my sanity further. This album is about dealing with a cruel world that doesn't reveal to you what is real and what is not.
